August was a very busy month for our family. Jena and Jackson had swimming lessons with Mr. Button again. They love to swim and we continue to take them to our little club 'adcope' to swim usually once a week, although jackson would rather just sit in the hot tub.



Jena also started kindergarten the end of August. She couldn't wait. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Samuels (who is also my parents next door neighbor. We have had to coach Jena in always calling her Mrs. Samuels instead of her first name.

On September 5th we welcomed our 3rd child Erin Avery Lathen. We are calling her Avery. we liked how erin avery sounded more than avery erin. she was 7 pounds 1 1/3 ounces. so far she is a very mellow child. hopefully that won't change but we know better. Jena and Jackson are great helpers. jackson always wants to hold and kiss her. he is very possessive and calls her, 'my baby'. Jena is into burping her and actually carried her from my room to the swing in the living room the other day.

Jeff is a proud papa again and assures me this is our last child!
