Ok, so it has been quite a while since I last posted anything. Just to catch you up with the most exciting thing that has been happening to us...our basement flooded over Memorial Day weekend! We came home to find the whole basement in water. When you stepped on the carpet the water came up to your ankles. I stopped halfway down the stairs and just stared! Where to even begin. I had know idea what to do. Luckily, Jeff's brother and a friend were with us and they immediately started taking everything to the garage and upstairs. My good father came over with his little shop vac and I took one look at it and laughed, "Uh, that's not going to do the trick dad!" Anyway, it is going to be a long summer. I had a friend water some plants for us while we were gone and she accidently left the hose on. I felt so bad for her. I would actually rather be on Jeff's and my end of this than her's. I can't imagine how bad I would feel. Luckily the insurance is paying for it. So when all is said and done, we'll have a brand new basement! I just know it is going to take all summer, and that's what's frustrating. Oh well!
